Q: How much does it cost?

 

 

A: This is by far the most common question people have for photographers. Unfortunately, it's not as easy to answer as it would be if say, you were asking for a price of a hot dog at a ballpark. 

 

Everything I do here at Light Science Studios is custom work, designed specifically for you, your home and your family. The majority of clients will spend between $2500-$3000, but there are certainly some who spend less and some who spend more.

 

Below are prices for some of my most popular items, and it's also good to remember there are built-in discounts with certain items that are not reflected in these prices.

Q: What should we wear?

 

 

A: This is a great question and the quality of your portraits are often directly linked to the amount of time and energy you put into what everyone will be wearing! Some basic rules of thumb include the following:

 

 

• Stick with dark colors. NO WHITE or bright colors (unless you're on the beach.

 

 

• Avoid insignia, emblems or busy patterns - solid colors work best!

 

 

• Cover as much skin as possible (within reason). Any skin showing outside of your face will pull your eye toward that area of skin when you look at the image. Since we want your faces to be the star of the show, that is ideally, the only area of skin showing.

Q: How long will the session take?

 

 

A: I don't put a time limit on sessions. We will take as much or as little time as needed in order to capture your portraits properly. In general, however, sessions will last between 1-2 hours, depending on how many people are being photographed and the conditions in which the session is taking place.
